Conservatory Roots

Martine's early years were shaped by rigorous conservatory training, where the disciplines of both piano and violin were cultivated with uncompromising artistic integrity.
She joined the Young Talent Class at the Conservatory of Music in Tilburg and a few years later, she enrolled in the pre-college programme at the Conservatory of Music in Maastricht, studying both violin and piano. She subsequently obtained her Bachelor's degree in Violin in 2010 and her Bachelor's degree in Piano in 2011.

Solo performance, Chamber music, Orchestra

During her studies, she performed solo at concerts organized by the Young Talents Class, where she gained valuable solo eperience. Valuabble orchestral experience she gained with the National Yought´s Orchestra and Guido's Orchestra.

Since September 2013, Martine has been a permanent member of the Johann Strauss Orchestra of André Rieu. She initially joined the orchestra as a violinist and, since 2021, performs as a pianist.
In 2026, Martine also joined the Maastricht Salon Orchestra as a pianist.

Canto Ostinato

She has also performed several times with pianists Jeroen and Sandra van Veen and Jeroen Riemsdijk in performances of Canto Ostinato by Dutch composer Simeon ten Holt, one of the most celebrated works in contemporary Dutch music.

Church towers

In addition, Martine regularly performs in church towers together with carillon players Frank Steijns and Marcel Siebers.

SAAM´n
As a member of Trio SAAM'n, she plays piano alongside her colleagues Kalki (vocals) and Linda (violin). Together, they perform at a variety of public and private events, bringing an eclectic and engaging musical programme to their audiences.

Bodhrán

She also has a great love for Irish music, which inspired her to learn the bodhrán. She greatly enjoys making Irish music together with violist Lauriane, a fellow member of the Johann Strauss Orchestra.

Music remains an essential part of Martine’s life, inspiring her to learn, connect, and express herself in ways that words alone cannot.
